Google Shopping! (SEO Game)

Here is a fun new game to help increase your Search Engine Optimization or SEO. Increasing your SEO means that your shop and items are gaining popularity in search engines. The better your search engine rankings, the easier it is for potential customers to find your shop! Google is the number one search engine on the world wide web, so this is a great way to get your Etsy shop noticed!

How it works:

Visit TEMPT Team’s thread, Google Shopping (SEO Game).

Find the last item posted in the thread, for this blog, we will pretend it was this item from LittleBitCrazy.

Go to www.google.com

Search for the item listing. You can use keywords such as shop name and item description.

Now that it has pulled up all the search results, click on “Shopping” to easily find the listing photo.  You may even be able to find the listing in the search results, as can be seen in the following screen shot.

Once you have found the item, click on it!

This will bring up an enlarged image with more detail.

Click on it again to bring you to the Etsy listing!

Now give it a ♥

Finally, post an item you would like to have searched on Google!

Play as often as you would like!

The new listing feature on Etsy may have some shop owners shouting “Leave Etsy alone!,” but for others, this new listing feature has been a great way improve the Etsy experience.  When you happen to stumble on an item you like and click to view it, you will now see a wonderful array of “highlighted listings” at the top and bottom right of the listing view.  This allows the shopper to see a variety of your items, which may even incite them to view more items in your shop.  This new showcase is a wonderful way to highlight your merchandise.  Thank you, Etsy!

How to Pin and Entire Etsy Treasury to Pinterest!

Have you ever seen one of those amazing treasury pins with all 16 tiles displayed, and wondered “How did they do that?”  Well, here is your chance to learn how!

First of all,  make your beautiful treasury.  If you need help making a treasury, please read our 12 Step- TEMPT Team- Treasury Curating Program.

Once you are complete go to Treasury Pin.  It will look like this:

Add your treasury link to the box provided, and click go! Like this:

Once your treasury has generated, you can try out the “New Treasury Pin Editor!” 

Simply click on it 🙂

Here you will find options to add more, or less, tiles to your treasury pin. For an entire treasury, click on the 2×8 option.  Then it will have you “Click Here” to finish:

Congratulations!  You are ready to pin your entire treasury!

Please, visit TEMPT Team’s Treasuries on Pinterest to see this treasury displayed as an entire treasury!

Remember to convo each member in the treasury you curated to let them know they have been featured and send them a link to your awesome, new, treasury pin!  By having all 16 tiles displayed, you may find that more people will re-pin your treasury, which will help you increase activity on Pinterest. Increasing your activity on Pinterest will allow you, and your Etsy friends, to gain more exposure.  This is a great way to use teamwork in order to improve your stats on Etsy!
